Necklaces and Earrings

I found a role of chain and had an amazing number of different kind of green beads. It was inevitable they two should end up being combined into something.

I took the beads, gold findings and hooked them into each link on the chain. It took me about a month to create this set.

It was very therapeutic to make this set, it forced me to slow down, get off the computer and be available for conversation during the evenings.

This set was one of the first I made for me personally and never intended to sell it. I was truly amazed at the number of compliments I received from friends and clients when I wore it.

I had taken a test and found I was 90% left/analytical brain. I was told that if I spent time engaging the right/creative brain, I would become more whole brain and more balanced.

I’m not sure why, but that was appealing to me and I spent my evenings and weekends engaging my right brain creating earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and outfits to match the jewelry I had made.

I bought my first Spencer Alexis outfit and couldn’t find anything for accessories that worked with the burnt velvet, velvet and lace.

So of course I had to figure out a set to make that wouldn’t be too heavy for the delicate nature of the outfit.

It’s hard to believe by looking at this, but it took more than two weeks to make while working on it in the evenings.

It’s a classic style and nearly every time I wear it I receive compliments.
