This was the first paper art piece I did. I found the orange background paper and it inspired the rest of the piece.
The gold paper is fairly easy to find but you can find most of these papers on line now if you can’t find them locally.
I love going into the paper stores a touching the textures and feeling the grains though, that in itself provides a great deal of inspiration for me.
I decided to use a pair of wooden chopsticks I found out in the small town of Locke along the Sacramento River as accents. I like doing three dimensional pieces.
I found the frame at Aaron Brothers but waited until they had their annual 1 cent for the second frame sale. It’s worth the wait since most of the frames that I like are more than $100.
