I bought the vase in Locke, California, a very small river town on the way to Sacramento from the Bay Area.
I loved the colors and the unique shapes embedded in the piece, so one day I decided to make an art piece to go with it. I chose various art board colors and that matched. I cut pieces in the same shapes as the shapes in the vase and arranged them in random patterns.
I used gold textured matting and a gold frame to set the accent.
